Third day in a row of running good which is a 25k hand heater. The coolers are going my way now whereas they were going against me for so long before. Also the fish are having something when I have a monster. As everybody knows, all fish need is any kind of pair or draw to give you all of their money (see hand below). And when you are getting holds against them, it is like printing money.
My winrate is back up over 5BB on the month which is still not where I expect it, but getting a bit better. For all my complaints and headaches, things always do have a way of sorting themselves out in the long run, in this game.
Villain is a huge drooler fish, 70/20 type. He has top pair. I have a set. Easy game.

Accidentally deleted a bunch of recent comments while trying to delete all the invite comments. I had temporarily published the invite comments, after the blog was set to private (so that nobody saw them), in order to copy and paste email addresses. Sorry about that =/ I deleted some of my comments too lol.
Anyways, thanks again for reading. I hope entering your details to read this blog isn't too much of a pain. Perhaps clicking the "remember me" option will help with that.

Wow. Overwhelmed by the response. Have 27 invite requests at this time. Glad I didn't just shut this thing down. I'm happy so many people enjoy reading this drivel that I put down each day lol.
I really try to ignore all the crap that gets written about me. I don't like the limelight to begin with, hence the snap tilt idea to shut down this blog and make it private.
Sometimes it gets to me though. How many times must I be told that I am a bot? Really? I'm a bot? My arm sure feels real lol. Truthfully I feel sorry for the Pokerstars Security department. I can only imagine how many times they have had to review my account and clear me over the past 5 years.
How many times must I be told that I am crazy or retarded, why don't I move up etc? I am guilty on this one. I am fucking nuts. I have never claimed to be sane. Not too many people are crazy enough to play this many hands at nano stakes. And it is stupid, I agree.
But am I not allowed to be stupid and crazy? Is there some law against this that I am unaware of?
I will do a better job of ignoring this crap in the future. But a less public blog will hopefully aid in slowing it down. I also won't need to moderate comments anymore. Although the amount of nasty stuff and spam wasn't too high anyways.
In poker news, I am running really good now. Finally some of the coolers are on my side, I am playing better, making more hands etc. All the stuff that leads to winning big. Its a nice change.

Invites
Alright. Yes this blog is going invite only. I have temporarily reopened it and erased a rather long expletive filled rant. I will give a brief synopsis however: Too many faggots on the internet.
If you want to continue reading this blog please provide an email address in the comments of this post. Please identify your poker screen name as well if I don't know it. I will not publish your comment.
Edit: Thanks for all the comments. I will leave this post and blog up for a day or so more and then send out all the invites. Please remember to provide an email as I can't invite a name.

Finally a good day. A great day actually. Ran at 10BB. This is the first day in a little over a month or 170k hands that I can honestly say that I ran above average. This stretch of poker has changed everything about this game for me. Hitherto the longest downer stretch I had ever experienced was 100k hands.
This past month has been downright scary and eyeopening. In a way I am lucky to have been playing such low limits and able to still profit through it. If I had been playing higher limits and losing money through all of this, I am not sure that I would still be playing this game.
Continuing with the theme of 3betting monkies at NL5. Well there are only like 3 of them lol. This is not the same guy from yesterday though. This one is another reg, kinda tight, but not that good and prone to massive spew. Same deal, constantly goes out of his way to fuck with me. I had 4bet him the previous hand with KK and he folded.

I didn't look at the cashier all day and tried to avoid watching most allins. It was another brutal day though. Those things did help with tilt control a little bit though.
This hand was kind of interesting. It was against a good winning TAG reg but he is very spewy and downright crazy at times. He 3bets at 6% which is enough for me to move tables if he is on my left. Somehow he got on my left here in this hand though.
He loves to 3bet my lp opens (always 3x) with damn near any two and fire 2 barrels. He seems to give up after that though. So my thinking during this hand was highly sophisticated "fuck you, I am winning this pot."

There is no such thing as a downswing in poker
Yesterday I came to a boiling point for about the 879th time along this bad run of cards that I have been having for the past month or two. The difference this time was that I got so mad at my perceived bad luck that I felt unable to continue playing for the day and just quit. I reviewed the session and its not even like things went that bad. I lost 3 big pots to a gutshot, a flip and a cooler, ran KK into AA again (which I won), and lost a bunch of annoying little pots to silly suckouts and such. This all occurred in the 1700 hands that I played, pretty standard stuff.
The problem is that every single time I lose a pot these days I take it personally. I have no fuse. Truthfully I haven't had one for weeks now as I have never endured anything close to this before. Notice the language that I use "endured" as if I have been personally attacked but more on this later. I play really low stakes and am still able to win. Stressing out over this seems really stupid in the grand scheme of things.
Drawing from my article "On Tilt" and using a little bit of logic I have come to some conclusions and will now try and put them down here. In the article I essentially made the rather obvious case that online poker is not rigged. I used Stars as a specific example as 100% of my play is there. Stars has now dealt 48 billion hands, all of which are publicly available for audit at any time. I have personally been playing there for 5 years and it was around for several more before that.
There are a lot of smart people in this industry, a lot of really nerdy math types, with access to sophisticated compiling programs such as HEM and PT3 along with incredibly fast computers. There has not been a single credible argument that I am aware of in all these years that anything is amiss with Stars RNG. By credible I mean, a) written by an intelligent person and more importantly b) is based upon a solid set of data.
Poker is a game where there will always be much ranting and even more raving, usually made by poor players, who do not even have the slightest bit of perspective. I am talking about the masses of recreational players ,who if you give them your ear for a second, will tell you all about how their aces got cracked 3 times in a row! And therefore (insert online poker site or casino name here) is rigged.
The facts are simple. There is simply no compelling or even slightly believable reason to believe that anything is wrong with basically any of the big online sites. In fact, the only credible evidence is to the contrary (each of the big sites have been independently audited). And in any case, accepting the complete randomness of these sites is necessary for our continued play there. If in some bizarro world this is all wrong and Stars really is rigged, then there will be some huge fucking lawsuits down the line. So its a win win either way.
Stars random number generator or "RNG" is really just a computerized replication of a random deal of cards hosted on servers located in the Isle of Man. Like randomness in the universe (will it rain or be sunny tomorrow etc), there is no conscious direction in the decisions that these computers make. That is to say, there is no will, volition or stake that these computers have in the outcome of any hand of poker. They are inanimate objects performing a pre-programmed task. They are in no way aware of their decisions. They are random.
What is a downswing then? What is an upswing or a heater for that matter? Clearly both of these are patterns that we have found within this random sequence of events. The problem though is that there are no patterns within a random sequence of events. Because patterns are intelligent designs that require planning. And for planning to happen, consciousness and volition is required.
Since these computers have none of that, there is no other conclusion to be drawn besides that downswings and upswings are imaginary. We may have a good or bad run of cards over a specific time period but it is a purely coincidental phenomenon and holds no explanation in reality.
That is because they are a pattern that we have concocted in our minds and nothing else. There is nothing personal about a bad run of cards. It is perhaps easier to see this point if you think about live poker. Do you go and blame all the dealers for your downswing? Do you think they all got together behind the scenes and conspired to stick it to you? Of course not.
We are essentially getting upset about something that doesn't even exist. There are no patterns in random events and therefore there are no downswings or heaters.
So the next time you receive a "bad beat" or a "cooler" you should remind yourself that what you really just received was a random event. Do you want to be like the madman standing in the rain shaking his fist at the sky because he planned to go to the beach that day?

Destroyed a hockey stick today after my first session running KK into AA 3 times etc. I highly recommend breaking stuff as an anti tilt mechanism (I forgot to mention this in my "On Tilt" article). Just make sure you don't break things of real value such as your computer!...however tempting it can be to throw it out the window at times.
But as mentioned in the comments, I still win at a good rate so I should stop bitching and I will now. Results have actually been decent the past couple of days. I am really forcing myself to focus more on each hand and on figuring out more profitable lines against certain types of opponents.

Guess I should say something here every once in awhile lol. Utter madness. Complete madness. Still running significantly below EV every day since the middle of July. I have never seen anything like this in all my 5 million hands played lifetime. I think I am completely insane and therefore immune to it by now. Because no normal human being could possibly deal with this.
I have completely lost confidence in my ability to win or even play well several times through this 150k hand stretch. I have questioned and changed my game several times. I am currently playing a bit better because I am allowed to make some money again. But basically my day consists of counting down the time until it says 10k hands in HEM so I can quit. Because everything in between is just chaos.
Every day, every session is just a new absurdity. I lost 900bb today in set over set situations alone. I don't even know how that is possible. But who cares? Its just a fucking circus.
My plan is to just keep putting in massive volume everyday until I break this downswing and get my confidence back. Then I can try and move up again. One good thing about this month is that Stars seems to have forgotten to turn off their micro mania promotion? I am getting VPP at .036 this month at NL5. So that helps.
There is one quote that I have always remembered. It was authored by "Irieguy" in a classic 2+2 post from way back in the day. It rings truer and truer every time I read it.

July Review/August Goals
Overall July was a pretty disappointing month for me. I only ended up playing 175k hands due to taking 7 days off. To make matters worse I went through my second longest downswing ever at 80k hands, and ran woefully below average on the month as a whole. All hands were played at NL5 and my winrate was a shockingly low 4.8BB/100. It was nearly 7 last month and has been right around that all year long. The micro mania promotion helped a little bit. I think I made roughly $300 with stellars and FPP value on top of table winnings.

I need to get back on track in August. I need to play way more and take shots at NL25 when I run good again.
