Back To Poker Full Ring

My 6max experiment is over. I only played about 100k hands of it. So I can't really say for sure how badly I suck or rule. The results were just north of breakeven, like 40 bucks lol. I think I learned a lot by focusing on shorthanded play for awhile but I think ultimately I just feel a lot more comfortable and confident at full ring.

I am back to full ring now these past few days, still NL25 and NL50, although playing the deep tables now. I am also only playing 16 tables at most and focusing heavily on table selection. Have been crushing it pretty good.

I am a lot more loose and aggressive now from the 6max experience and a lot of study lately. This should help since the games are basically all nits these days and running them over is how you get a good winrate.

Unfortunately my slacking off these past few months has me on a pretty tight schedule to make supernova before the end of the year. But I should be able to do it with consistent play and I will just do something silly like mass table shortstack NL100 near the end, if need be.

Thankfully, not all of the profit these days comes from running over nits. Finding massive donkies 4 buyins deep helps too.

  1. Glad to see you are back to winning. This game can be so cruel. I have not put in your kinda volume. I am just comming up on my first 100k hands.

I am thinking about switching to full ring myself.

    All the best,

  2. "focusing heavily on table selection" . Nathan on table selection, do you mean you look for high % in hand and high $ in hand and not more than one shortstacker at the table or more than 3 rocks at the table ?? Or is there more to it ??
    Thanks, Chris

  3. Ya I sort the lobby by highest vpip or plrs/flop and then avg pot size and pick tables accordingly. I don't pay too much attention to the number of nits cuz they are on every table. I just make sure there is at least one fish. I don't have to worry about shortstackers cuz I only play the 40-100bb and deep tables.
