Hands Played July - 21544

Comments:

Didn't feel like playing today, so I didn't. Maybe tomorrow. Pretty sick of the grind lately and failed moveups and endless cycles of runbad, rungood, runbad. I'll be back soon though. Some days you win...some days you lose.

Hey blackrain, i remember playing you back in the days at 2nl ;) ,

I see your struggling a bit in moving up stakes.

Ever tried in getting coached? find your leaks etc.

Nice sun, good friends,...not easy to play poker during this time!

Hey man, did you see the strike in France? Seems players can still have some influence. But WTF, hope Canada will not follow french politic. Can't imagine playing only canadian with a rake soo hight. It's the dead of online poker in this country. Guys, come in Montreal, beautifull women, a lot of fun in the city, etc...

Of course, don't go to the west, they are some strange people there ;))))

Been running bad myself lately I'm a reg nit @NL5.So I decided to give live poker a shot this week the smallest stakes were NL200 to my amazement there were loose fish swimming everywhere.Made more money In a day than I do in a week playing live.Too bad you can't multitable live lol.Anyways long story short I was wondering if you ever gave live poker a try? I know you're like 3x the player I am at poker. If I'm doing well I'm pretty sure you'd be rolling in cash.

  9. Salv,

    Yup. My fav fighter.

    Lamphi,

Yes, I saw a clip on youtube showing the strike. Good for them. The rake is ridiculous on the new site and I hope that never happens here. Yes I have heard many great things about Montreal. I hope to go there one day :)

    Gary,

Thanks, gl to u as well

    Anon,

Heard that about live play. May try it one day. Nice winnings!

    Scoom,

PTR'd u. Nice work. Keep it up!

    Opened,

The pic is a rapper named Mos Def. To be honest, I don't really even listen to his music much. I just heard that a pic of a black guy might get you some extra spite calls from racists lol.

i thought with this preflop raise stats he would have QQ-AA AK/AQs, i decided to not 3bet him because he would call with all of these cards except AQ maybe, so just call and see flop, there was no A, so i just call there, and after turn i thought he got JJ or AA/AK when he continued in betting, so i reraised him, i rly didnt thought he would have straight

    I'm a 5nl grinder myself, I looked at your hands dujon1.

Only 1 that stuck out to me and seemed kind of too aggressive even if it is a fish; is your first hand.

    *** FLOP *** [3h 4h Qh]

Now I would've checked on a 3 suited flop or if I decided to bet on the flop it would've been a very small bet.

    *** TURN *** [3h 4h Qh] [Ks]
    amino yaku: checks
    dujon1: bets $2.30

If I had decided to bet on the flop as you did, I would've most likely checked down the turn as I'm not exactly sure if the fish has top pair, hit the K or has the flush or, nothing.

Also since you have position advantage checking the turn down gives you a free card to see if you boat up.

Keeping the pot relatively smaller isn't always a bad thing when it's a 3 suited board.

Don't get me wrong, there's no way I would fold a set to a fish on that board, but checking down the flop or turn to boat up is usually not a bad thing.

Even though you will probably never read this, as this is a reply to a post 4 days ago just thought I would give you my input.

To be honest I think me writing my answer to that situation helped myself probably more than it might of helped you.
