Heartbroken + Rioting Idiots

Crushing defeat last night in Game 7 of the Finals. Pretty awful feeling to wait 17 years and then lose again. Congrats to the Boston Bruins though. They were the better team.

I jokingly made reference to a riot breaking out if we lost in my last post. I didn't think that it would actually happen! But all the 19 year old idiots in Vancouver proved me wrong and disgraced this city once again. The sad part is that most of them aren't even fans, they're just fucking idiot kids looking for a reason to get drunk, break shit and loot.

Most of them were also far too lacking in brain cells to even think about covering up their faces in the age of social media and smart phones. And several of them were quick to go brag about their exploits soon afterwards on facebook or twitter, further incriminating themselves.

The brightside is that with people this stupid walking around, games like poker are always going to be profitable no matter what.

  3. What's new Nathan? Have you been coaching any new students? Hows Poker going this month? We are still waiting for Full Tilt to release our money to US players, and most of us are playing on Carbon,Lock or RPM poker which is a "MERGE" site so they all play each other. It's sad it peaks to about 10,000 players each day and i do see players from other Countries on there, anyway i haven't posted for awhile wanted to say hi . Later Chris

  4. Hi Chris,

Glad you are still able to play and I hope you get your cashouts from FTP soon. I thought Ivey made some fuss about it and it was gonna get done soon?

With coaching, people have tended to book multiple sessions up front so I'm mostly working with the same people still.

My own poker play has been fine. Just playing a moderate amount at low stakes, sometimes on Merge as well.

  5. Yea, what i heard was Ivey is not playing in the WSOP because he feels its wrong that he would be able to play and others that have money tied up on Full Tilt can't. There is very little talk lately on the subject. I have $1500.00 tied up on the site that i grinded up from $50.00 .So now i deposited $30.00 on Merge and starting all over. I have put in alot of hard work like you, well almost like you lol, just to grind it up to that much. So far i am up to $80.00 on new site with about 6200 hands played. I waited over 6weeks to deposit just to see what would happen and what sites us players would choose to play.

  6. Ya thats brutal. FTP always kinda rubbed me the wrong way (especially b/c of terrible customer service) and I stopped playing there years ago. Its pretty bad that they still haven't paid out. I'm sure they will, but who knows when. Best of luck with it and regrinding on Merge.

  7. well i guess one good thing is that Merge lowest level starts out at .02-.04 so people are forced to start out at that level instead of .01-.02 .In the past i started moving up everytime i hit 80-100buy-ins in my account which is way conservative. This time i might be more aggresive at trying to move up once i hit 20buy-ins in my account. We shall see how it works out LOL. "To the top or Bust" LOL
